Establishment of a New MAA (Military Airworthiness Authority)

In 2015, I had the privilege of contributing my expertise in civil aviation, regulatory, and international legal standards and processes to support the establishment of the Military Airworthiness Authority (MAA) for the Swiss Air Force. Selected by the Swiss government from a pool of 120 experts, I was entrusted with advising on the development of a regulatory airworthiness structure that would align with international agreements between Western militaries.

This initiative required the creation of a robust framework to ensure systematic adherence to established airworthiness mechanisms across participating countries. My role was to provide strategic guidance on implementing certification procedures, drawing on my extensive experience in civil aviation and regulatory frameworks.

This project marked a significant milestone in modernizing and harmonizing military airworthiness standards within Switzerland, ensuring they align with international military aviation frameworks while maintaining compliance with established regulatory mechanisms.
